Approach

People often ask “What is therapy?” I usually begin by saying that therapy is a confidential, nurturing, and supportive place to work on healing or improving yourself. It is a process of looking within yourself to resolve problematic behaviors, feelings, beliefs, or memories that may be impacting your self-view, relationships with others, or overall quality of life. Unique to each person, therapy may be short-term or ongoing, with the overall goal being to help you become much more aware of yourself and why you often think, feel, or behave in specific ways.
